Breast Cancer

Breast cancer continues to increase in frequency and approximately one million women per year are now diagnosed with the disease. There have been significant advances in our understanding and treatment of breast cancer and these have led to significant reductions in mortality. This book summarizes current knowledge on breast cancer and provides an approach outlining how women with suspected breast cancer should be investigated and once a diagnosis is established, how they should be treated. The book is written by senior authors throughout Europe and the United States. It is aimed at doctors involved in the investigation and treatment of patients with breast cancer and it should also be valuable to breast care nurses, trainees and some senior medical students.
