Social Psychology in Sport

This work is aimed as a course text at the undergraduate level. It is the first sport psychology book that offers a comprehensive and indepth treatment of social psychology as it pertains to sport settings. 20 chapters are divided into five parts: relationships in sport, coaching leadership, motivational climates, social and cognitive processes and the athlete in the sports environment. Each chapter features a summary which emphasises the key points and a discussion to engage the class. Written by UK based authors from Loughborough University, it offers the reader the opportunity to consider topics individually and outside of a course setting.
