This new text is drawn from lectures given to ENT residents and case reports conducted by clinical audiologists at WVA University School of Medicine and helps the reader understand the essentials of audiology in a very compressed period of time without sacrificing accuracy.
Divided into three parts – Evaluation of Hearing Disorders; Evaluation of Balance Disorders; and Rehabilitation of Hearing Disorders, this textbook is an attempt to visually depict audiological diagnostic procedures, including the history and physical examination of hearing.  It further describes appropriate use and interpretation of audiological evaluations, helping in the understanding of what kind of audiological evaluations are available, when they are useful, and how to interpret the results meaningfully for proper diagnosis and treatment of hearing problems.
