Advanced Civil Infrastructure Materials: Advancements in Science and Mechanics

In recent decades, material development in response to the call for more durable infrastructures has led to many exciting advancements. The purpose of this book is to provide an up-to-date review of several emerging infrastructure materials that may have a significant impact on repair and/or new construction. The two areas that take high priority in this book are the materials design concept that has led to the creation of advanced composites. Such design methodology has been made possible by several key advancements in materials science and mechanics.
