Living with Breast Cancer

Today, there are about two million women living in the United States who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. More and more, these women and their families are turning to self-help groups to find the comfort, support, and information they need to learn to live with cancer.
  This resource guide is written by and for women living with breast cancer. It offers encourageme~t and ideas to women involved with breast cancer self-help groups. The manual captures the synergy of this collaborative effort and, like the self-help movement itself, demonstrátes the power of "caring through sharing".
  Three organizations familiar with the challenges faced by breast cancer survivors partnered in the production of this manual: The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation; the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization; and PISCE8-Partnering In Self-Help Community Education and Support.
