General Thermodynamics

Broader in scope than any other fundamental thermodynamics text, General Thermodynamics contains classroom-tested materials designed to meet the academic requirements of  engineering (except for mechanical and chemical engineering) and materials science students in a single course. The first half focuses on classical concepts of thermodynamics, while the latter half explores field-specific applications, including a unique chapter on biothermodynamics. Each chapter contains numerous worked examples taken from different engineering applications, along with illustrations, and an extensive set of exercises that support the material.
